Guest Post: 10 Days in Spain with Jetogo eSIM: A Smooth, Connected Travel Experience
No need to worry about buying the right data plan in advance or unused data going to waste — Jetogo’s pay-as-you-go eSIM makes it easy to stay flexible while traveling.
During a recent 10-day trip across Spain, one of our users shared how it helped them stay connected throughout their journey, from Barcelona to Madrid and Valencia
Traveling across Spain had been on my list for a while — from Barcelona’s architecture to Madrid’s energy, and the coastal calm of Valencia. I finally made it happen with a 10-day trip, and this time I decided to rely on a Jetogo pay-as-you-go eSIM instead of juggling physical SIM cards or airport kiosks.
Here’s how it actually went in real life.
Easy Setup Before Landing
I installed the Jetogo eSIM before my flight. The setup was simple — scan, activate, and it was ready to use. No need to swap SIM cards after landing, which made everything much smoother right from the start.
The pay-as-you-go model also made sense for this trip since my data usage would vary depending on navigation, messaging, and social media updates.
Day 1–3: Barcelona
Barcelona was the first stop, and honestly, it set the tone for the whole trip.
Seeing Sagrada Família for the first time was one of those moments that photos never fully prepare you for. The details, the scale, and the light coming through the stained glass were incredible. Park Güell was just as memorable, especially in the early morning before it got too crowded.
One quick tip: if you’re visiting during high season, definitely book tickets for both Sagrada Família and Park Güell in advance.
Most afternoons were spent just walking — through the Gothic Quarter, along La Rambla, and eventually down toward Barceloneta Beach. Some of the best moments were actually unplanned, like finding a small tapas bar tucked into a side street and ordering way too many plates of patatas bravas and grilled octopus.
During my stay in Barcelona, I was mostly getting around with Google Maps between Gaudí landmarks, stopping by cafés nearby and uploading photos from Park Güell and the Gothic Quarter, and Jetogo made sure everything stayed smooth throughout.
Day 4–7: Madrid
Madrid had a very different energy — more structured, but also more local and lived-in. The highlight was definitely El Prado Museum, where you could easily spend hours exploring classical art.
Retiro Park was another favorite spot, especially in the late afternoon when locals gathered to walk, row boats, or just sit under the trees. Around Plaza Mayor, the atmosphere felt lively but not rushed, with cafés and street performers filling the square.
I also learned very quickly that in Spain, eating early means eating alone. Most locals don’t even start dinner until much later, so adjusting to that rhythm made the whole experience feel more local.
Day 8–10: Valencia
Compared to Barcelona and Madrid, everything felt calmer. I spent more time near the beach, especially around Malvarrosa Beach, and visited the City of Arts and Sciences, which looked even better in person than in photos.
One of the standout experiences here was having an authentic seafood paella by the coast — simple, fresh, and very different from the busy energy of Barcelona and Madrid.
I didn’t really use my phone much here, reading a book and just staying on the beach felt like the perfect way to disconnect for a while. Jetogo’s pay-as-you-go plan also fit well with that, since I only paid for what I actually used, with nothing going to waste or expiring.
What I Liked About Jetogo
After 10 days, a few things stood out for me. I never had to swap SIM cards or deal with fixed data plans, and everything just worked as soon as I arrived in each city. The pay-as-you-go setup stayed flexible the whole time, with solid coverage across Spain and no need to manage anything along the way.
While in Madrid, my phone automatically connected to 5G, and I ran a speed test with solid results for everyday travel use. In real use, everything felt fast, whether social media, apps, or browsing on the go.
Download: 836 Mbps | Upload: 89.6 Mbps
Ping: 180ms | Jitter: 42 ms
Even better, I still have some credit left that I can use on my next trip, which makes it even more practical.
Overall, Jetogo made staying connected during my trip across Spain simple and hassle-free, and I’d definitely consider using it again for future travels.
